Public Health Week is celebrated each year during the first week in April. Join the Public Health Museum for a week of free activities highlighting public health – now and in the past. Events include:
Monday, April 7- Free virtual program: Go Behind the Headlines with state epidemiologist and public health veterinarian Dr. Katie Brown about avian influenza or bird flu.Hosted with the Tewksbury Public Library
Tuesday, April 8- Free Narcan training: You Could Save A Life: Visit the Public Health Museum at 12 noon and learn about naloxone and how to spot an overdose. Fentanyl is everywhere and with just a short training, you could help someone until professional help arrives. 365 East Street in the Old Administration Building
Thursday, April 10-Free tours of the museum from 10AM-2PM. Visit the museum for FREE and see the new exhibit- Pandemics: Is Hindsight 2020? as we draw parallels with the 1918 Influenza pandemic and COVID-19.
Friday, April 11- Virtual Public Health Forum with local public health officials. Learn how your municipal health agents are working hard to keep us all safe.
Saturday, April 12- Tour the Pines Cemetery. * This is a fee-based event. See museum website for details.
